Google announced today, that Google Play Books for Android, iOS and web, is now available in Singapore. Famous Singaporean books like Riot Green and Conversations with Lee Kuan Yew can now be bought and downloaded from the Google Play Store.

WhatsApp, a popular cross-platform mobile messaging app, has announced that a new voice messaging feature will be made available to all users on all platforms by the end of the week. Users can now push a button to record voice messages, while releasing the button sends the message automatically.

Google will be rolling out a new feature called Android Device Manager which will be able to help pinpoint the location of lost devices, as well as get it to ring at maximum volume. Users can expect to start using the new service by the end of August.

The manufacturers of Gorilla Glass, Corning, has just announced that they're working on a flexible version of Gorilla Glass. This new glass, called Willow Glass, will enable hardware manufacturers to create not only thinner devices, but also devices with unconventional form factors.

In the first quarter of 2013, Apple managed to regain fifth place in the Chinese mobile market with an eight percent market share. For the last two quarters in 2012, it was languishing in 6th place, while Samsung remained firmly in the top spot with a 20 percent market share.
