According to AMD, the current crop of AMD Radeon HD 7000 series GPUs lack support for DirectX 11.2 application programming interface (API). This is apparently due to a change in the final specification of the programming framework, which wasn't anticipated by AMD.

Microsoft has just announced that Windows 8.1 will arrive through the Windows Store on October 17, 7:00pm (Singapore time). The retail version as well as new devices loaded with the updated OS will go on sale a day later on October 18.
As part of Patch Tuesday, Microsoft has issued several bug fixes for Windows 8.1 Preview. Also, new firmwares are available for the company's Surface RT and Surface Pro tablets.
