IDC: Global Mobile Payments to Reach US$1 Trillion by 2017

Market research firm IDC released a report estimating global mobile transactions will reach US$1 trillion by 2017. The prediction is largely based on the escalating popularity of mobile payment technology, as well as data from mobile websites.
