Google+ Hangouts now comes with remote desktop, which lets you remotely control someone else's PC during a Hangout chat session. The Hangout Remote Desktop app is built using the same technology found in the Chrome Remote Desktop app.

Twitter has recently confirmed that it will be closing TweetDeck mobile apps on May 7. TweetDeck apps for Android, iOS and Adobe AIR will be removed from their app stores and will cease to function. TweetDeck for web and Chrome however will still be kept alive, and will be updated weekly.

Professional network LinkedIn has recently confirmed its acquisition of 3-year-old news reading app, Pulse Newsreader, for about US$90 Million. 90% of deal was settled with LinkedIn stock, while 10% was in cash.

Adobe Systems Incorporated has announced the immediate availability of a new version of Adobe Photoshop Touch, optimized for iPhone, iPod touch, and Android smartphones. The phone app brings core features of Photoshop desktop software to mobile devices and offer similar, touch-based gestures and features as the Photoshop Touch for tablets.

Microsoft has just announced the general availability of its new Office suite of productivity software. Besides buying a copy of the new Office for your PC, you can also get Office via a subscription plan. Two such plans for consumers are announced today: Office 365 Home Premium and Office 365 University.
