Shots fired at IFA 2014, with Microsoft's VP of Mobile Sales, Chris Weber, calling out Samsung and Apple for "overcharging for a smartphone experience that is clearly inferior to Lumia". Weber's justification for saying so comes in the form of the new Lumia 830 smartphone, which Weber called "an affordable flagship."
"Selfie" was the Oxford English Dictionary's 2013 word of the year. As a consequence of selfie fever, many smartphone manufacturer's are now trying to capture the selfie market with affordable smartphones paired with quality front-facing cameras. Microsoft effort is the Lumia 730/735.

Microsoft unveiled its latest Lumia devices update at IFA 2014 today. "Lumia Denim" will be rolling out to all WP 8.1 Lumia devices later this year and includes WP8.1 Update 1, as well as a number of Lumia specific goodies, including a much-improved camera app.
