Microsoft has just announced its acquisition of Perceptive Pixel, a six-year-old maker of high-performance multi-touch workstations and "wall solutions".

Microsoft’s senior marketing manager for Windows Phone, Greg Sullivan, sheds more light on why existing WP7 and WP7.5 handsets will not be getting the Windows Phone 8 update.
Microsoft makes its move to acquire Yammer, a cloud-based enterprise social networking service, for US$1.2 billion in cash. Yammer will continue to be headed by current CEO David Sacks although the company will be integrated with Microsoft's Office Division after the acquisition.
At Microsoft's TechEd Europe 2012, Microsoft briefly shared with us of the Company Hub concept, a one-stop location where an enterprise can host, manage and push relevant information, docs, apps and more that are relevant to each individual.
With the Shared Windows Core that is prevalent in Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Phone 8, it's a lot easier to share code from one platform to another, thus accelerating app availability across devices. Microsoft's senior product managers further confirm this at TechEd Europe 2012.
