The update to Twitter's iPhone and Android applications will enable users to edit photos in new ways, such as adding filters, photo frames, as well as an auto-enhance capability to its image sharing feature.
Instagram 3.2 for iOS brings several improvements to the app's look and speed. For example, it sports an all-new camera design and a new Willow filter. Instagram for Android is also updated.

Acquired by Google in September, Snapseed, a popular photo-editing app, is now finally available for download on Google Play for free. Likewise, the iOS version of the app is also free for now (originally US$4.99), but has also been updated to include Google+ integration and some new filters.
