With this new version, customers will be able to navigate to addresses found on the Internet, search with foursquare, and get the latest TomTom maps. Simply copy an address and paste it into the app, and it will automatically work out the destination and direct you there.

Today, TomTom officially announced their largest personal navigation device yet - the 6-inch Via 620 - for Singapore. Apart from a large display, the new Via 620 also includes a host of other useful features such as iQ Route and free lifetime map updates.

TomTom sold user data to Dutch police, and says it was "to help them identify congested areas for safety reasons and to help determine where road capacity needs to be increased." Unfortunately, it looks like the police had other ideas in mind, as they used the data to determine locations for speed traps! As you can guess, customers are none too happy with their data being sold.
