Acquired by Google in September, Snapseed, a popular photo-editing app, is now finally available for download on Google Play for free. Likewise, the iOS version of the app is also free for now (originally US$4.99), but has also been updated to include Google+ integration and some new filters.
Huawei has just confirmed that it is working on "an oversized" Ascend Mate smartphone, one that's positioned to be Samsung's Galaxy Note II competitor. The device has been alleged to come with a huge 6.1-inch full HD 1080p display while running a 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

Samsung is currently seeding the Android 4.1.2 update, which includes the Multi-View multi-tasking feature, over-the-air for its popular S III device, with Poland being the first country to receive it.
HTC is rumored to be releasing a 5-inch flagship model in Q1 2013 ahead of its rivals. A NVIDIA Tegra 4-equipped device is also said to be in the works.

Nokia today introduced the Nokia Lumia 620, the third and most affordable in its range of Windows Phone 8 smartphones at the LeWeb 2012 event.
The Google I/O 2013 event is scheduled to take place from May 15th to May 17th in San Francisco, with registration set to open early next year.
Apple has filed a patent application for wireless charging technology based on magnetic resonance. The difference with most wireless charging technologies on the market is that Apple's patent covers charging from a distance up to 1m.

LG officials confirmed to the Korean Times that the company will be announcing its own in-house designed mobile processors at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013.
A fresh round of rumors surfaced on upcoming Samsung mobile devices which include the Galaxy S IV, an entry-level Galaxy Note II and a 13.3-inch transforming tablet with a keyboard dock.
