Google just announced that the Android 4.4 KitKat update will be rolling out to the Wi-Fi models of Nexus 7 (2012 and 2013) and Nexus 10 from today. Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 versions with mobile data will be getting the update soon.

Developed by ASUS and Google, the new Nexus 7 is the latest 7-inch Android handheld with the sharpest-ever tablet screen and built-in wireless charging. It will be available at all ASUS brand stores and authorized retailers from 21 September onwards.

Google has just released the factory image of their new Nexus 7 tablet, just like they had for previous iterations. In addition, the driver binaries for the Nexus 7 have also been made available to the public for download.

After tons of leaks, Google has today officially unveiled a new version of the Nexus 7 tablet. Running Android 4.3, it sports a Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor, 2GB RAM, 1,920 x 1,200-pixel IPS LCD display, 5MP rear camera, and built-in Qi wireless charging.
Along with the brand new Google Nexus 7 tablet, Google also took the opportunity to unveil Android 4.3 -- an upgrade to Jelly Bean that brings with it a few new features like Bluetooth Smart support (Bluetooth Low-Energy) and restricted profiles.
