Google has released a companion app for Android users on Google Play for its upcoming I/O 2012 event, allowing users to sync events/sessions with their calendar, and better follow and participate in #io2012 discussions on Google+.
It's (almost) official that the next iteration of the Android mobile operating system is named Jelly Bean. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be the first device to be powered by Jelly Bean.

A tablet device by the name of Google ASUS Nexus 7 appeared in a benchmark result. The listed specs include NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core 1.3GHz processor, a screen resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and Android 4.1.

The latest rumors point to an official unveiling of the ASUS-built Nexus tablet at Google I/O Conference next month. In addition, the 7-inch tablet is said to start shipping in June with an initial volume of 600,000 units.

Google's source codes indicate that the company is working with Samsung on developing the first Nexus-branded tablet. The tablet is said to be powered by a Exynos 5250 dual-core processor, Mali T-604 GPU, has a Super AMOLED display with 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and a 5-megapixel BSI rear camera.
