Sony today announced net profit of US$280 million in the second quarter of fiscal 2015 thanks to increase in sales of its image sensors and PlayStation 4 software. However, its mobile business continued to decline.

At the Mobile World Congress, Sony had introduced its latest mobile devices, including the waterproof Xperia Z2 and mid-range Xperia M2 smartphones, along with its 6.4mm-thin waterproof Xperia Z2 tablet. Now, the Japanese company has revealed that its SmartBand and Lifelog application will be available globally from March 2014.
In addition to announcing its waterproof Xperia Z2 and mid-range Xperia M2 smartphones at the MWC, Sony has also introduced its ultra-slim waterproof Xperia Z2 tablet which boasts a 10.1-inch Full HD TRILUMINOS Display for mobile with Sony’s new Live Color LED technology.

Sony Mobile has announced that the 4.3-inch Xperia L is now available in Singapore. Running on the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean platform, the smartphone powers on a 1GHz dual-core processor, and features an 8-megapixel camera with Exmor RS for mobile.
