Rumors had been circulating that Yahoo might be about to make big waves soon. Now, it is all but certain that the Yahoo board has approved a US$1.1 billion acquisition for the popular micro-blogging site Tumblr.

Jon Peddie Research has reported the shipment figures for graphics chips for Q1 of this year. It also tallied the market share figures for major players like Intel, AMD and NVIDIA. While Intel has retained the lion's share, it has slid 5.3 per cent compared to its last quarter.
Canon is announcing an EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM lens with a built-in 1.4x extender, by flicking a lever the lens converts to a 280-560mm f/5.6 lens. The EF200-400MM F4L IS USM Extender 1.4X lens will be available end May, with a recommended retail price of S$16,599.
