Google has just announced the acquisition of Waze, a social mapping and navigation app that features real-time traffic data provided by its users. While Google did not disclose the purchase price, the New York Times reports that the deal is in the region of US$1 billion.

Adobe today released Photoshop Lightroom 5, which includes new features like an advanced healing brush, radial filter, upright perspective tool and space-saving Smart Previews. The new version costs US$149 for a perpetual license and US$79 to upgrade from a previous version of Lightroom.
