ZTE Unwraps Voice-activated Grand S II
ZTE has introduced a new voice control technology incorporated in its latest smartphones.
The Grand S II flagship smartphone, the latest addition to ZTE's high-end Grand Series line, will be ZTE's first implementation of the technology, which will include voice recognition unlocking, voice photography, and an upgraded ZTE My-drive assistant. The voice recognition unlocking feature enables the Grand S II to recognize its owners’ voices and differentiate between them, and for its owners to unlock the phone with a simple voice command.
Users will be able to command the Grand S II to snap a photo using voice photography, making it easier than ever to snap group shots or selfies. My-drive features a higher voice recognition rate, reducing distraction while driving and enabling users to more accurately receive calls, listen to messages and play music via voice commands. The "do not disturb" mode lets drivers concentrate on the road by automatically sending incoming calls to voice mail or replying to texts.
With triple-MIC noise reduction for clearer calls, the smartphone also offers high-precision voice recording, Dolby sound effects and a professional BOX speaker. The voice control technology from ZTE, and the Grand S II, is displayed at Booth #31431, South Hall 4, CES 2014.
