Zagg has unveiled a new keyboard case for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro which comes with a dedicated holder for the Apple Pencil and backlit keys.

Unlike the Smart Keyboard from Apple, Zagg's Slim Book keyboard case has a built-in Apple Pencil holder for safe storage. The keyboard also has backlit keys in seven colors for a comfortable typing experience.

The Slim Book keyboard case has a fabric weave exterior which is spill-proof. The matte black frame protects the iPad Pro against impact and can withstand drops up to 1 meter. Its detachable case enables four different ways of using the iPad Pro:

  • Keyboard - type with the keyboard attached or detach it and type comfortably on another surface
  • Case - use the case without the keyboard as you carry along for reading and watching videos
  • Book - keep the iPad Pro protected in the case when you read on the iPad Pro
  • Video - use the keyboard as a stand when watching videos

It also allows you to pair two devices simultaneously, and toggle back and forth between them to use the keyboard. In addition, the Slim Book's adjustable cradle hinge can hold the iPad Pro securely at multiple angles for your viewing pleasure. The built-in rechargeable battery is long lasting and enables you to use it up to two years between charges.

The Zagg Slim Book wireless keyboard for the 10.5-inch iPad Pro is available for purchase online at US$119.99 (~S$162). This is about S$80 cheaper than the S$248 Smart Keyboard.
