ZAGG Launches Bluetooth Backlit Keyboard Cover for the iPad

Do you have a Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover, and wish that the keys are backlit? Well, mobile accessories maker ZAGG (the same people who make the Invisible Shield) has just announced at IFA in Berlin two slim Bluetooth keyboard covers for the iPad, the ZAGGkeys PRO and ZAGGkeys PRO Plus.

Both Bluetooth keyboards use magnets to hold the iPad to the keyboard case when closed, and they’ve iOS function keys like home, copy and paste, playback, volume, and lock. The PRO Plus differentiate itself from the PRO by being a backlit keyboard. You can change the backlight colors (which are the seven rainbow colors), as well as the backlight intensity (there are three levels). A spokesperson from ZAGG told us that without using the backlight function, the battery will last anywhere from three to five months. With backlight use, you should still get about two months’ worth of usage before it needs to recharge.

Just press the backlit function key (on the right of the space bar) and use an arrow key to switch between the seven colors for the backlight.

The keyboards will be available for purchase from late September in Europe. The ZAGGkeys PRO will cost 109 euros (~S$171) and the PRO Plus 139 euros (~S$218).
