YouTube now goes up to 60 FPS

You may not have noticed it, but YouTube videos have been capped at 30 frames per second for years. There was an announcement back in June saying that 60 FPS video playback was coming soon, and it's finally here.

A few videos that were originally uploaded to the video streaming site at 60 FPS are finally running at their original framerate, instead of being streamed at a clumsy-looking 30 FPS. However, it's still unclear if all of the old videos in YouTube will be getting the framerate boost. As usual, the update is slowly being rolled out to users, so be patient if you aren't getting 60 FPS yet. Hit the video below to see how 60 FPS looks like (just make sure the resolution is at least 720p).
