CapitaLand has announced more details about the new old Funan. Newstead and TK Foto will be coming back. There’ll be a Golden Village cinema, and a 50-lane climbing facility run by Climb Central. Local theatre company, W!ld Rice, will build a 380-seat theatre. Keepers and Carrie K., both local brands, will open stores at Funan.

You can check out CaptiaLand’s plans for Funan at a new show suite next to High Street Plaza. It’s open to the public from 11am to 9pm daily, and there are exhibitions, workshops, and talks planned at the site, which is next to High Street Plaza. A highlight of the suite is a 1:100 scale model, built from 66,500 Lego bricks, of what the new Funan will look like.

The site is designed by Singapore-based architecture firm Lekker Architects, the walls are hand-painted by Tell Your Children, a group of four Singapore illustrators.
