Yet Another Confirmation of Nokia's 41-Megapixel EOS Lumia Device

Hot on the heels of yesterday's news about HTC implementing ultrapixel technology in their upcoming M7 device comes another report about cameraphone technology. Nokia, of 41-megapixel 808 Pureview fame, will bringing the famed sensor to its Lumia lineup.

This is not new news however, but its heartening to see new reports from The Guardian backing up the fact that the technology will indeed surface in another line of Nokia products. The 41-megapixel Lumia device will be dubbed EOS, and is expected to launch in the summer in the US. No specifications have been revealed at this time unfortunately.

With Nokia shifting its focus to creating great photography tools - its most recent contribution was the Nokia Lumia 920 and its superior low-light performance -, we are excited to see how this would pan out for the Finnish company in the future, given that its market share has dropped drastically after the entry of iOS and Android devices.
