Xiaomi Singapore managed to sell 5,000 units of the Redmi phone in 8 minutes and 4 seconds.

In case you don't know, this is the third batch of Redmi phones sold in Singapore. The first batch sold out within 8 minutes on February 21 while the second batch was snapped up in 6 minutes. Xiaomi's flagship smartphone, the Mi 3 went on sale last Friday and stocks ran out in just two minutes

The S$169 Redmi has no equal in its category, considering the price, performance and software capabilities with endless customization options.
