Xiaomi Mi3 Slashed to S$339

Good news if you weren't one of the lucky few able to buy Xiaomi's Mi3 smartphone when it launched in March and sold out within two minutes, the flagship smartphone is back in stock and available at a reduced price of $339, down from its original price of S$419 - that's an $80 saving!

While the Mi3 lacks 4G connectivity, we found it to offer great performance with all the required basic features at a great price point - a deal that's even sweeter with its new reduced price. Read our full review of the Xiaomi Mi3 here.

Buyer beware. that's the only CAUTION!! all these amazing features comes at a superhigh cost post facto. The initial price of the phone (Mi3) was $150 with two years contract from M1. But it lasted only THREE WEEKS!!. The service centre is an outsourced outfit. The crew does not have the capability to handle the Xiaomi tsunami that is coming. M1 of course is has told me to buzz off and buy a new phone at full cost. Now that I am tied to them as I signed a contract with them. I wonder who benefits as a result.
And the number of people who were there at the Xiaomi service centre the day I visited the service centre was not funny. So please please buyer beware. This apparent low cost phone, actually about $100 per week. That is provided the phone lasts three weeks.
