Xiaomi announces Redmi Note 4G; will retail online from 18 November
Xiaomi announces Redmi Note 4G
Updated at 4PM:- Xiaomi Singapore reached out to inform us of the updated specs of the new Redmi Note 4G and to clarify the official weight is 185g as opposed to the initially mentioned 189g. Compared to the Redmi Note (3G) version that weighs in at 199g, the new Note 4G model is 14 grams lighter. Additionally, the Redmi Note 4G will officially replace the Remi Note (3G) edition; thus the old variant will no longer be offered for sale from Xiaomi.

Confirming our earlier suspicions, Xiaomi has recently announced that it's Redmi Note 4G smartphone will soon be available locally. Xiaomi notes that the local version is specifically tailored for us due to the 4G network differences between Singapore and China (which was launched earlier in their home market).
The smartphone will cost S$229 when it launches later this month on the 18th of November.
Still using the same 5.5-inch 720p IPS display that debuted with the original Xiaomi Redmi Note, the LTE variant for the local market improves upon the predecessor with Wireless 802.11ac networking support, uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.6GHz processor instead of Mediatek's octa-core processor, has Bluetooth 4.0 support, runs on Android 4.4 with MIUI v5, weighs more than 10 grams lighter and only has a single SIM slot.
We've added a side by side comparison with its predecessor, the Xiaomi Redmi Note.
