**Updated at 1400hrs, 30 April 2014**: Microsoft has just confirmed that, in collaboration with BesTV New Media, it will launch the Xbox One in China this September.
Microsoft's Xbox One is not doing too good in the war against Sony's PlayStation 4. The latest reports indicate that the PlayStation 4 is outselling the Xbox One. According to these reports, around five million Xbox One consoles have been sold as compared to seven million PlayStation 4 consoles.
To even things up, sources familiar with Microsoft have reportedly said that the Xbox One console will be launched in China this September. The company even had a YouTube video ready confirming the launch, but has since been brought down and marked private.
This is noteworthy not only because China is said to have around half a billion gamers, but also because China has only just recently "temporarily" lifted a ban on gaming consoles.
September is also the time when the Xbox One will be launched here as well as other key Asia gaming markets such as Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
