Would you like to play PT again?

Would you like to play PT again?

One of the scariest interactive experiences you can have is now back on PS4...with a catch.

PT is an incredibly scary demo. It's not even a game per se, just a series repeating hallways with a couple of rooms. Despite that, the visuals, random scares and the incredibly creepy vibe has it forever etched into the minds of horror gamers. Despite not even being a full-fledged game, PT is one of the greatest horror interactive experiences ever.

Announced at E3 2014 and then made immediately available on the US PSN, PT became an instant smash hit. A few months later though, the demo would be completely scrubbed from Sony's servers. Even those who had originally downloaded the demo found themselves unable to redownload it. The PT image would sit in one's game library, tantalizing users with something they can never get again...until now.

The good news is that a user on the Indonesian forum Gamexeon has found a way to re-download the title off PSN. The post's entirely in Bahasa Indonesia, but there's an English version detailing the method, which we've written down below.

Here's the thing though, this method might get you banned from PSN, so if you do decide to try it, be prepared for the consequences.

The most important thing you'll need is a US or EU PSN account that has previously downloaded PT when it was available, so that the link to the demo is still in the Library. If the PSN account you're using has never downloaded PT, then you're out of luck.

Assuming you do have a valid account, you can proceed to the next steps.

First off, you'll need to download SUWI and check your IP address. To do that, you need to open the command prompt from your Start menu and then type CMD. Once the prompt is open, type ipconfig to get your IPv4 address. Once you have your address, run SUWI on your PC.

Your IP address will be the numbers at the end of the IPv4 address line in the command prompt.

Now you'll want to boot up your PS4, navigate to Settings and then Network Settings. If you're connecting to your notebook wirelessly, choose Wireless, When asked to choose how you want to configure your settings, select Custom, then Auto for all setting until you get to the Proxy page. Select to use a proxy, then enter the IP address you got earlier. In the port section, enter 808. Complete the setup to save your new settings.

If you've downloaded PT before it was taken off the PSN, it should still show up in your Library.

Here's the final and easy part. Make sure there are no error notification regarding PT in your Notifications bar. If there are any, delete them. Once the bar is clear, go to your Library, search for PT, and then download it again as any other game.

That's it! You have access to PT again! We recommend you turn off the lights, wear headphones and turn the volume all the way up. Oh, make sure to wear diapers.
