Windows RT gets its Start menu thanks to Windows RT 8.1 Update 3

Microsoft has pushed out Windows RT 8.1 Update 3, fulfilling the promise that it has made back in July and September. The biggest addition is the Start menu, similar to the one we’ve on Windows 10. If you’re still proudly using your Surface 2 or any Windows RT device, now’s a good time to hit Windows Update. It could well be the last time Microsoft is adding a new feature to the OS.

In other news, Surface Pro 3 has gotten a September 2015 firmware update that includes a USB 3.0 card reader driver update; Skype has gotten something called Mojis that look pretty fun; and there’s a new Windows 10 Mobile Build (10536) that packs quite a number of new features, provided you can tolerate the horribly long and convoluted update process that I've yet to recover from.
