By the end of the year, Microsoft has promised to release software that will allow Mac users to sync Windows Phone 7 devices to Apple's computers. That certainly signals Microsoft's confidence that its new mobile operating system will find some traction among Mac users, whom one predictably assumes, are using iPhones. Of course, there's nothing wrong with opening up more market opportunities for Win Phone 7 and its XBox Live and tile UI may attract its fair share of fans.
eWeek - Microsoft is planning a software tool that will sync its upcoming Windows Phone 7 with Macs. “Later in 2010 Microsoft will make a public beta available of a tool that allows Windows Phone 7 to sync select content with Mac computers,” reads a statement from the company e-mailed to eWEEK. As other news sites have pointed out, however, questions remain about the nature of that “select content.”
