Windows 8 Price to Increase Significantly in February

Update (January 22, 2013): We've received the confirmed local pricing of the various Windows 8 upgrade editions from Microsoft Singapore, and has updated the table below.
If you're still sitting on the fence with regards to a Windows 8 upgrade, now might be a good time to make a firm decision. Microsoft will be ending its upgrade promotion on January 31. Under the current promotion, it costs only US$39.99 (S$49.99 in Singapore) to upgrade your existing Windows installation to Windows 8 Pro.
According to a blog post on the official Windows blog, the basic Windows 8 upgrade edition will retail for US$119.99 (S$159), while the Windows 8 Pro upgrade edition will cost US$199.99 (S$289). Those already running the basic version of Windows 8 will need to pay US$100 (S$139) for the Windows 8 Pro Pack upgrade (it's S$89 if you act now).
According to Mashable, the Windows 8 System Builder OEM product for DIY PC builders will cost between US$100 to US$165.
