Windows 7 Uses Too Much RAM?
The figures are in - it seems that around 86 per cent of Windows 7 machines are regularly using up to 90-95 per cent of the available RAM, which will result in a performance bottleneck. Factor in that only half that number of XP machines report that they are running low on memory, Also, most Win 7 machines are running 3.3GB of ram on average, which is twice as much as what most Win XP machines have.

On average, 86% of Windows 7 machines in the XPnet pool are regularly consuming 90%-95% of their available RAM, resulting in slow-downs as the systems were forced to increasingly turn to disk-based virtual memory to handle tasks.
