If you've an Apple Watch, you would know the smartwatch needs a connection to your iPhone to carry out some tasks. The next model is said to be less dependent on the iPhone.
According to the Wall Street Journal, people familiar with Apple's plans claim that the company is working to add cellular connectivity and a faster processor to the next Apple Watch. It is likely to work in a similar fashion as existing smartwatches with cellular connectivity.
Other rumored specs include a FaceTime camera, improved Wi-Fi capabilities, a thinner design, the same screen size, resolution and shape. Apple could launch the next Apple Watch as early as WWDC 2016 in June.
