If you’re one of the many who uses WhatsApp for texting loved ones and coworkers, you’ll be happy to learn that WhatsApp now allows some new formatting options for your text messages while on mobile. You can now use Bold, Italics, and Strikethrough in your text messages via a smartphone.

To use the new feature, simply update your WhatsApp app on your phone, and learn how to type them with a few easy steps:

For bold text, use the asterisk symbol (*) before and after the affected words.
E.g. *Hardwarezone* = Hardwarezone

For italicized text, use the underscore instead (_).
E.g. _Hardwarezone_ = Hardwarezone

For strikethrough text, use the tilde symbol (~)
E.g. ~Hardwarezone~ = Hardwarezone

You can also use these formatting options in your WhatsApp desktop client as well, but they will only show up in the mobile app. If the formatting options do not work on your WhatsApp, try updating the app first.

Time to go annoy some people.
