What year is it? Samsung just launched a high-end flagship flip phone
If you're longing for the days when you whipped out your phone and flipped it open like a boss (or a Star Trek captain), Samsung has good news for you. It's just unveiled the W2016, a metal and glass flagship spec clamshell flip phone.
The W2016 sports dual 3.9-inch AMOLED displays with 1,280 x 768 pixels resolutions on each display. The phone is powered by an Exynos 7420 processor (the same chip found in the Galaxy S6 and Note 5) and comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz UI. The phone is available in gold or silver and has a sculpted aluminum frame and a metal back. There's a 16-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel camera in front.
No word on price or availability right now.
