The new redesigned WD My Passport Ultra and My Passport for Mac.
You can never have too much storage extra storage. That's why WD's added in a new 3TB (available soon) option for the latest generation of their My Passport Ultra and My Passport for Mac portable external HDDs. While you're waiting for the My Passport Ultra or My Passport for Mac to come with 3TB of storage, both versions are also currently available in 500GB, 1TB and 2TB too. All of the My Passport units also feature 256-bit AES hardware encryption to ensure your data stays safe.
The newest generation of the My Passport Ultra will also be available in a handful of colors; Classic Black, Brilliant White, Wild Berry and Noble Blue. My Passport for Mac buyers on the other hand, will only have the default color available. Both versions will has USB 3.0 support, so no matter how they look, the transfer rate will still be fast,.
WD is also releasing the WD Grip Pack. The Grip Packs come in a variety of colors (smoke, slate, grape, sky, and fuscia) and is a rubber band that you wrap around your My Passport device. You also get a matching 18-inch flat USB 3.0 cable with every Grip Pack purchase.
Nearly all capacities of the My Passport Ultra and My Passport for Mac are available right now, with only the 3TB ones coming in later this month. Prices range from US$79.99 to US$199.99 depending on capacity. The WD Grip Pack retails for US$12.99.
