Trying to purchase something on your phone or tablet can get frustrating when you need to key in your 16-digit credit card number on a small screen. In fact, research firm, eMarketer, has revealed that 86 percent of shoppers never complete their purchases on their mobile devices.
Visa aims to solve that problem with its new payment method, Checkout. It's based on a username and password system which will store the details of supported credit and debit cards, so that all you need to do to complete a purchase is to log in. Visa has already got some online merchants such as Rakuten.com and Newegg to offer Visa Checkout, and with the release of a new mobile SDK, it seems Checkout might be found as a native in-app checkout experience for an increasing number of iOS and Android apps.
