Valve has announced that its digital distribution platform, Steam will start offering free-to-play games. There is no need to buy a subscription or even provide a valid credit card number - all you need is a Steam account. Currently, there are five titles lined up, though they are obviously not your blockbuster games. The only catch that we can tell is that the five titles listed appear to be free-to-play MMO type of games anyway, which could mean gamers could end up paying more for in-game items and other similar temptations.
