Userful and HP Develop World's Lowest Cost Linux Thin Client Solution

Userful and HP Develop World's Lowest Cost Linux Thin Client Solution

Userful has released the next generation of its Userful MultiSeat solution.

The HP t200 Zero Client for MultiSeat (QV555AT)

Using the HP t200 thin client, one Linux computer turns into multiple high performing independent computer stations. This is ideal for schools and businesses, as it allows multiple users to use different applications at the same time from a single host computer, without the need for a LAN.

We've first reported on HP's Multiseat computing solutions back in 2010 when the company was making inroads to the Indonesian archipelago with their affordable options to populate the education and basic office sector. It's design and options back then look more ancient than the HP t200 thin client made available recently and costs a lot more at US$300.

Three years after, prices have dipped a fair bit. Also  thanks tot the Linux based solution, the HP t200 thin client is priced at just US$99 per seat, inclusive of the keyboard and mouse.
