U.S launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 rumored to be in mid-August

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 may hit retail shelves in three months' time.

According to well-known tipster @evleaks, the Galaxy Note 7 is scheduled to be released in the U.S in the week of 15th August. Previously, the Korean site The Bell reported a much earlier launch period in July.

The Galaxy Note 5 was announced on 13th August 2015 and went on sale two days later in Singapore. Would Samsung schedule an earlier launch event for the Galaxy Note 6? It is also speculated that the Korean company will unveil a "Lite" variant.

So far, the Galaxy Note 7 is said to sport a 5.8-inch Quad-HD display, a Samsung Exynos 8890 processor, 6GB RAM. IP68 rating and 32GB internal storage space. Other rumored specs of the Galaxy Note 7 include a 12-megapixel rear camera with a 5-axis image stabilization system and storage options of 64 and 128GB.
