US-based BOXX Technologies has released two APEXX workstations that are factory overclocked. As their workstations are customized for enterprise-level computing tasks of “3D modeling, animation, rendering, and simulation”, a sustained overclocked CPU will improve the workstation’s performance at handling such tasks. Also, the workstations have liquid cooling for their CPUs, and their chassis feature dual Sanyo Denki ball bearing fans to optimize airflow. This helps to keep the operating temperatures of all internal components in check.

The company introduces the APEXX 2 3402 and APEXX 4 7402 workstations and their CPU performance will maintain a “guaranteed operating frequency of 4.125GHz” throughout the lease of their warranty. A check at the company’s website reveals that both APEXX 2 3402 and APEXX 4 7402 feature an overclocked Intel Core i7-5960X processor. The APEXX 2 3402, with a starting price point of US$5,072, can accommodate up to a pair of professional graphics cards while the APEXX 4 7402, priced from US$5,712, can fit up to four such cards. Do visit the company site to find out their exact hardware specifications.
