Upgrade Your 2013 Samsung UHD and Full HD Smart TVs with the Latest Evolution Kits

Did you buy a Samsung F9000 or S9 UHD TV, or an F8500, F8000, or F7500 full HD smart TV last year, and are drooling over what the 2014 models have to offer? Fret not, Samsung Electronics Singapore has just announced the availability of new Evolution Kits for you to upgrade your 1-year old TVs.

More specifically, the SEK-2500U/XS Evolution Kit is for the Samsung Series 9 F9000 and S9 4K UHD TVs, and brings the latest standards, including HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2, HEVC codec support, as well as MHL 3.0 through the external One Connect box. Similarly, the SEK-2000/XS Evolution Kit that attaches to the back of the TV brings the Samsung Series 8 F8500, F8000, and F7500 full HD models up-to-date with the latest features, including the new Quad Core Plus processor.

Also announced is the Samsung Video TV VG-STC4000, a dual-hinge camera that’s compatible with most of Samsung’s 2013 and 2014 smart TVs. The combination allows you to make Skype video calls on your TV, complete with interaction functions, such as one-finger (for 2014’s H series models) or one-hand gesture control for screen navigation and volume or channel adjustment.

The Samsung UHD Evolution Kit SEK-2500U/XS is now available S$699 and the Samsung FHD Evolution Kit SEK-2000/XS is now available at S$399. The Samsung Video TV VG-STC4000 goes for S$149.

For whoever using UA55F9000AK, and wanna to buy/use UHD Evolution Kit SEK-2500U/XS, please take a serious re-consideration, because my TV turn totally BLACK OUT after connected to this Evolution Kit 1 day after, and after the Samsung Technicians came and changed 1 of the circuit panel, my TV now need more than 30 seconds to start up and show the graphic!! And Samsung Technicians told me, this is nothing they can do now, can only monitor this case, and I am NOT the only reported cases with this scenario.
