Unique MSI Gaming Notebook GX60 Spotted at Computex 2012

At Computex, we have seen a unique gaming notebook, the MSI GX60 that features an A10-4600M APU with the AMD Radeon 7970M GDDR5 GPU. This gaming notebook is one of the first few like the Dell Alienware M17x to feature this mobile GPU.

This 15.6-inch gaming notebook sports the same Steelseries keyboard and Dynaudio speakers like the MSI GT70.

As for the APU, we have had first-hand experience when we were reviewing the AMD Trinity APU in early May this year. To reiterate our conclusion, we felt that AMD's Trinity APU is better suited for entry to low mid-range machines that usually don't sport a discrete graphics module. For the GX60, MSI seems to have understood this underlying weakness of the APU and hopes to stem this by pairing the A10-4600M APU with the AMD Radeon 7970M GDDR5 GPU.

To up the ante, the GX60 features SSD drives in RAID 0 configuration, on top of its mechanical HDD. MSI GX 60 sports Killer Gaming's network connectivity as well as AMD Eyefinity technology for a multi-monitor setup for the ultimate gaming experience!
