"Transforming" Sony Windows 8 Tablet Revealed

The Windows 8 launch is approaching (October 26), and manufacturers are beginning to reveal just what devices they have up their sleeve. Hot on the heels of Samsung's Series 5 Hybrid tease, are some (Pocket Now exclusive) leaked images of Sony's upcoming Vaio Duo 11.

From the images, it's hard to tell if it's running Windows RT, or the full version of Windows 8. What can be gleaned from the images however, is that the Vaio Duo 11 utilizes a sliding form factor, first seen on the Eee Pad Slider Android tablet.

A stylus is also being used on what seems to be the Microsoft Office 2013 application. However the stylus appears to be the regular capacitive type, rather than the Wacom-powered digitizer found on the Samsung Series 5 hybrid.

And lastly, a hint of the device's premium positioning is its back-lit keyboard -- a feature rarely found on budget devices. Sadly, that's all the information we have for now, but we're confident the upcoming IFA 2012 event in Berlin will reveal many more exciting Windows 8 devices.
