Toshiba Announces Canvio AeroMobile Wireless SSD with Eight Hours of Battery Life

Toshiba has introduced the Canvio AeroMobile, a wireless SSD that lets you store, stream, and share files and media from mobile devices without the need for a cable.

Merging the convenience and capacity of portable wireless storage, this slim unit enables you to upload media instantly, freeing your smartphones, tablets, and cameras to take thousands of pictures and videos. Up to eight of such devices can access the Canvio AeroMobile.

Weighing just 119g, the wireless SSD includes 128GB of storage capacity, and features a built-in rechargeable battery with up to eight hours of battery life for video streaming. Ideal for accessing content when traditional Wi-Fi signal is not within reach, you can offload photos and free up SD card space via the built-in SD card slot. In addition, an internet pass-through mode will allow you to browse the web while accessing the wireless SSD.

Backed by a one-year limited warranty, the Canvio AeroMobile Wireless SSD is retailing at US$209.99 for the 128GB model.
