Fujifilm recently announced the launch of the new Instax mini 70, a camera that produces credit card photos instantly. The new camera is said to be launched on October 23rd in three new colors: “Canary Yellow”, “Island Blue”, and “Moon White”, and will have a variety of shooting modes to allow you to enjoy simple photography no matter the situation.

For example, the Instax mini 70 now comes with a tripod mount and self-timer function to allow for easy group shots, as well as a “Macro” mode that allows you to take images from up to 30cm away from your subject. There’s also a “Landscape” mode, and a “Selfie” mode that gives the appropriate exposure and distance settings for that perfect selfie. No guesswork needed here, as there’s a small mirror beside the lens for perfect composition.

An improved Automatic Exposure Control now takes ambient lighting into account when calculating the amount of flash to use, adjusting shutter speed and flash power to ensure that both your subject and the background are evenly exposed, making it perfect for pictures taken indoors.

Improved exposure control allows for even lighting indoors.

According to Fujifilm, the “Instax mini” series is especially popular among teens and women in their 20-30s as a camera that produces analog images instantly, giving the user “real” photos. Sales of this series have been growing quickly not only in Japan, but also in over 100 countries and regions around the world including East Asia, Europe and the United States, making this one camera that certainly isn’t going to see a decline in growth any time soon.
