The Stigo is a foldable electric scooter that is now in Singapore

Five years in the making, the Stigo electric scooter from Estonian is coming to Singapore, by way of local distributor Falcon P.E.V.

The Stigo is a seated electric scooter that goes up to 25km/h, and has a range of up to 25-40km per charge (depending on the power pack option you choose). The Stigo measures 1,050 x 480 x 805mm and weighs 14.1kg/15.3kg, you can fold it into itself then lug it around like a golf trolley bag.

I tried the Stigo out for myself, and it was the first time I’ve scooted around a neighborhood with an electric vehicle. It was exhilarating, and felt like riding a miniature motorcycle. The Stigo sits close to the ground, and you sit quite upright with your arms low to lap-level. A Falcon P.E.V. spokesperson explained to me that the ergonomics have been designed so your weight is evenly balanced between your legs and your arms, for a more even ride.

There’s been a lot of concern about e-scooter safety, and rightfully so. When I asked Falcon P.E.V. about safety concerns, they told me that they’re looking into making it compulsory for customers to watch the company’s self-produced e-scooter safety video before collecting their e-scooter.

The Stigo is EU approved and street legal in EU countries, it meets the requirements set by the Land Transport Authority in Singapore for P.E.V.s and the recommendations by the Active Mobility Advisory Panel.

The Stigo electric scooter is now available for pre-order on Falcon P.E.V.’s website, at S$1,799 for the 5.8AH option with a range of 25km, and S$2,049 for the 11.6AH option with a range of 40km.
