StarHub's Promotional Rates for Excess Local Data Usage Ends Today

In line with the recent moves by M1 and SingTel to increase excess data usage charges, StarHub 's promotional rates will end today.

From 1st January 2014, excess data usage will be charged at $8.56 per GB and capped at a maximum of $85.60 per month, up from the current promotional rate of $6.42 per GB and capped at $64.20 per month. The promotional rate for 1GB local data upsize will also end today; customers will be charged $4.28 per month instead of $2.14. 

It is important to note that the expiry of the promotional rates has been conveyed to the customers from the beginning, with the information displayed on its website and brochures. The following plans will be affected from tomorrow:

  • SmartSurf Lite
  • SmartSurf Value
  • SmartSurf Premium
  • SmartSurf Elite
  • MaxMobile Lite (6GB)
  • MaxMobile Elite (6GB)
  • MaxMobile Elite (11GB)

Its free speed boost promotion, also known as the 4G value-added service (VAS) will be extended till further notice. This is the second time StarHub has extended the promotion.
