StarHub Launches Converged Business Fibre Solution for SMBs

StarHub has launched a converged business fibre solution for SMBs that offers Internet access, voice and Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services over the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network (Next Gen NBN).

Called "SmartPipe", the solution is the first-of-its-kind here that provides business Internet, voice and IPTV services, each with its own dedicated channel and delivered over a single Next Gen NBN end-user broadband connection. Each StarHub service is assigned dedicated bandwidth, so that there will be no contention of bandwidth when all three services are being used at the same time in the office.

Customers who sign up for SmartPipe can go for a fibre broadband plan from as low as 12Mbps, with a single voice line that allows them to make unlimited calls to all local phone numbers. Customers can also upgrade their fibre broadband plan to enjoy higher bandwidths or add on more voice lines and/or IPTV services subsequently. They will receive one bill every month for all their StarHub service subscriptions.

As a promotion in September 2013, customers pay only S$209 monthly when they sign up to the "Smart Office Suite 12Mbps" package for a 12Mbps fibre broadband service, one voice line and one à la carte TV channel. This is a 22% saving of the total monthly subscription charges for these three services, at $267.40. In addition, customers can enjoy waiver of one-time set-up charges of more than $610. There are also other SMB packages available for those customers who may only need internet and voice services.
