StarHub expands 4G roaming to 21 countries, ongoing network upgrade to 300Mbps

StarHub expands 4G roaming to 21 countries, ongoing network upgrade to 300Mbps

 

If you are a StarHub 4G mobile subscriber, you can enjoy 4G data roaming at the same rates as 3G on 25 overseas mobile networks in 21 countries from today. 

The 21 countries include Hong Kong (3/Hutchison), South Korea (KTF), Taiwan (FarEasTone, Chunghwa & VIBO), Thailand (Real Future), Sri Lanka (Mobitel), Canada (Telus), Ireland (Vodafone), Italy (Vodafone), Netherlands (Vodafone), New Zealand (Vodafone), Saudi Arabia (Mobily), Spain (Vodafone), the U.S (AT&T), the U.K (Vodafone), Portugal (Vodafone), Australia (Telstra), Brazil (Claro), Brunei (DST), China (China Mobile), Hong Kong (HKT & SmarTone), Russia (MegaFon) and Switzerland (Swisscom). Data roaming rates will vary across countries and telcos. You can check out the different roaming rates here.

Aside from expanding its 4G data roaming to more countries, StarHub is also carrying out network upgrading works. The telco plans to increase the total 4G base station count by 70% to improve in-building coverage and boost peak speeds from 75Mbps to 300Mbps across Singapore, starting with the Central Business District.
