Specs of Samsung's Upcoming 10.5-Inch AMOLED Tablet Leaked

Samsung has been very aggressive with its tablet strategy this year. Seen here are the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 LTE (black) and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition (white).

If the current tablet lineup of the Galaxy Note Pro, Tab Pro and Galaxy Tab 4 series doesn't interest you, Samsung's upcoming 10.5-inch AMOLED tablet might stand a chance of getting your attention.

Previously rumored to be released at Consumer Electronics Show 2014, SamMobile has obtained exclusive information on the specs of the tablet. The AMOLED tablet, also known by its model number SM-T800, will come with a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 2,560 x 1,600-pixel resolution.

The SM-T800 will also be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor (either Snapdragon 800 or 801), 2GB RAM and Android 4.4 KitKat. Like the Galaxy S5, the tablet will have the Ultra Power Saving Mode feature to extend the mileage of its 7,900mAh battery.

Other specs include 16/32/64GB storage options, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and USB 2.0 connectivity. The tablet will come in two versions: Wi-Fi only and LTE.

If you recall, Samsung only has one AMOLED tablet in its portfolio which is the Galaxy Tab 7.7. Announced in September 2011, the Galaxy Tab 7.7 runs on a dual-core 1.4GHz processor and has a 7.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels.

There is no information on the official announcement and pricing, but do expect the SM-T800 to come with a premium price tag.
