It's been close to two years since HTC unveiled two Facebook-centric phones, the ChaCha and Salsa, and the third device is expected to be launched in the coming months. According to @evleaks, a reliable source has confirmed the full specs of the phone which is known as HTC Myst. The specs are:

  • Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8960 dual-core 1.5GHz processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 16GB internal storage with no microSD card slot
  • 5-megapixel rear camera
  • 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera
  • 4G LTE support

Twitter user @LIabTooFeR also shared some information on the device, which include a 4.3-inch 720p display, Bluetooth 4.0, and a dedicated Facebook button. The tweet also mentions that the device will be available for AT&T carrier.

As a recap, the dedicated Facebook button on the HTC ChaCha and Salsa enables you to update your status, upload photos, "check-in" to locations, share the music titles you are listening with a single press. It is also context-aware, giving off gentle pulses of light whenever there is an opportunity to share content or updates on Facebook. The button basically eliminates the need to go through several layers of menu to accomplish the same tasks.

When we reviewed the HTC ChaCha, we liked the dedicated Facebook button and good keyboard design but the poor battery life and small screen spoilt the overall user experience. Will HTC's third attempt at building a Facebook phone be successful? We shall see.
