The next generation Google Nexus 7 should come anytime in the next couple of months and a recent FCC listing appears to have revealed its specs.

According to the FCC listing, the ASUS K009 is potentially the next Nexus 7 tablet for two reasons. First, it is listed as a "nexus" for "marketing purpose". Second, the specs seem to line up with what we've heard so far. The ASUS K009 tablet will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core 1.5GHz processor, front and rear cameras, 4,000mAh battery and LTE radios.

DigiTimes first reported on 21st March that the next generation Nexus 7 tablet will run on Qualcomm Snapdragon processors due to Qualcomm's lead in integrating radio modems with its chips. This raised speculation that the device may support 4G LTE, a capability that is lacking on the current Nexus 7.

Reuters followed up with a report in early April by claiming that the new tablet will use Qualcomm processors as they are more power efficient. In addition, the tablet will sport a higher resolution display with a thinner bezel.

Google unveiled several new software features and upgrades at its I/O Conference in May which include the new Google Maps, a revamped Google+ and a paid subscription music service. While we've seen the Google Editions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One, the next Nexus tablet has yet to make its official debut. It is widely believed to be launched next month.
